Prayer under grace is about closeness with God—an honest, continual conversation rather than ritual or superstitious repetition. This teaching explains that the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6 was given to Israel for the Tribulation period, not for the Body of Christ today, and that believers under grace are instead called to pray freely, personally, and without anxiety. In Phillippians 4:6-7, the Apostle Paul instructs us to bring everything to God with prayer, specific supplication, and thanksgiving. As we do, God promises not to grant every request, but to guard our hearts and minds with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

In this study, the Apostle Paul explains that prayer under grace is different from Israel’s “ask and receive” promises, because those belonged to Israel’s kingdom program, not the Body of Christ today. Grace-age believers are taught to bring everything to God with confidence, knowing He hears us and gives peace rather than automatic deliverance. Romans 8 shows that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding on our behalf, and that God works all things together for good according to His will. Paul’s own unanswered request about his “thorn in the flesh” shows that God’s answer under grace is often, “My grace is sufficient for you.”

Though Israel originally heard this promise in the context of future deliverance from Babylon, the same principle applies to believers today: God’s presence, power, and faithfulness remain constant. His righteous right hand sustains us—giving strength in weakness, help in uncertainty, and security in every step of life.

Yet this same God knows every star by name, but cares far more deeply for His people, whose lives are never hidden from Him. Those who wait on Him exchange their weakness for His strength, rising like eagles and finding endurance for every step of life through His sustaining power.

Yet this same infinite God depends on no one and possesses perfect wisdom, making Him the only reliable guide for our lives. Isaiah contrasts God’s majesty with the emptiness of idols, reminding Israel that creation itself continually proclaims His power and leaves humanity without excuse. Astonishingly, this majestic Creator is revealed to be Christ, Who came in humility and died for sinners—showing through the Cross the depth of His care.

God’s care in Psalm 139 is shown through His complete knowledge of our lives and that He understands us more deeply than we understand ourselves. This lesson emphasizes that God’s presence is inescapable—whether in light or darkness, in joy or sorrow, He is always with us, guiding and protecting. David marvels that God formed him in the womb with intentional design, demonstrating God’s intimate involvement from the very beginning of life. Because God’s thoughts toward us are countless and precious, we can rest in His constant love, care, and desire for relationship through Christ.

As we are instructed in this continuing episode on Titus 3, believers, saved by God’s grace, should devote themselves to good works to make Christ’s love visible to the world. The Apostle Paul also warns Titus to avoid foolish controversies and to deal firmly with divisive people so the church can remain healthy and fruitful. The letter closes by urging believers to keep their focus on the Lord even when others falter, and walk in the grace that frames Paul’s entire message for the Church, the Body of Christ.

Titus 3 teaches that Christians should live out this change by submitting to authorities, practicing kindness, and being ready for every good work as a testimony. The Apostle Paul reminds believers of their former lost condition so they will extend grace to others—as our salvation was provided not by our works, but by His mercy, and justification through Christ. Titus is urged to constantly affirm this trustworthy gospel, so that believers remain grounded in grace.
