We see here the Apostle Paul warning the Galatians of there being no room for error when it comes to the gospel, because mixing law and grace endangers people’s eternal destiny. Paul is astonished that they were so quickly turning from God’s grace to a different gospel—one that added law‑keeping to faith and thus perverted the true message of salvation. Paul insists that anyone who preaches anything other than the gospel he received directly from Christ, that messenger must be rejected as accursed. True servants of Christ are to stand firmly for the pure gospel of grace, seeking to please God rather than people.

In this study, the Apostle Paul explains that his own salvation serves as a pattern for how God saves people today—entirely by His exceedingly abundant grace, mercy, and longsuffering toward sinners. Once a blasphemer and violent persecutor, Paul was transformed by Christ and entrusted with the gospel of grace, showing that God can save and use anyone, regardless of their past. Paul’s testimony demonstrates that salvation comes not through worthiness or qualification, but simply by believing on Christ for eternal life, which serves as living proof of God’s overflowing grace.

The Apostle Paul recounts, in this teaching, how he once violently persecuted believers, until the risen Christ confronted him on the road to Damascus. Struck down by a heavenly light, Paul realized Jesus truly was the risen Lord, and in that moment he believed and was saved. Christ then commissioned him to be the apostle to the Gentiles, opening people’s eyes to the gospel that brings forgiveness, freedom from Satan’s power, and a heavenly inheritance. Paul’s bold testimony nearly persuaded King Agrippa, reminding us that salvation is not “almost,” but comes only by fully trusting in Christ’s finished work.

This message illustrates that only Christ can lift us out of the pit of sin, death, and condemnation— religion, good works, and self-effort cannot save. Using his own life as an example in Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul lists his impressive religious credentials but declares he counted them all as loss and “dung” for the excellency of knowing Christ, and having no confidence in the flesh. True believers are complete and can rejoice in Christ through His death and resurrection, worshipping God in spirit and receiving His righteousness by faith alone.

In this lesson on Colossians 2:8-10, believers are warned to beware of being carried away captive by empty philosophies, human traditions, and the basic “rudiments of the world” that diminish or lead away from Christ. In contrast, the Apostle Paul declares that in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, making believers complete in Him—providing full salvation, righteousness, and spiritual sufficiency through faith alone, with nothing more to add. This message reminds us of Christ’s all-sufficient deity and finished work, urging us to stay rooted in Him as our only hope and portion for eternity.

There is no mystery and no question about the destination for the believer in Christ. This episode explains that we are eternally secure in Him the moment we trust the gospel that Christ died for our sins and rose again. Based on the authority of God’s Word, we know we are headed for heaven—God justifies us forever, seals us with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, holds us securely in His and Christ's hands, and gives us eternal life as an unbreakable gift that cannot be lost—even through sin or unfaithfulness. Believers are encouraged to rest in God's unchanging promises rather than have feelings of unworthiness or guilt, knowing that nothing in creation can separate us from His love.

This episode illustrates the refutation to the claim that “all religions lead to God,” insisting instead that only the gospel declared in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the one true path to heaven, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life. It explains this passage verse-by-verse: believers hear the gospel, receive it by faith alone, and thereby gain an unchangeable standing in Christ (v. 1); “saved” in verse 2 refers, in the chapter’s resurrection context, to deliverance from doctrinal error denying the bodily resurrection; and the gospel itself is that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (vv. 3-4)—a message the Apostle Paul received by direct revelation from Christ, not from men. Faith alone in this good news instantly saves anyone and grants a perfect standing before God.

What reality do people find beyond the grave? Do they really “rest in peace?” The Bible teaches that to be “saved” means being rescued from the lake of fire, a real place of conscious torment and separation from God, where the lost remain forever under God’s righteous wrath for their sins. Yet God, in love, provided a Substitute, so that anyone who believes that Christ died for their sins and rose again is fully forgiven and delivered from this fate. Because the lake of fire is real and eternal, believers are urged to share the gospel, so that others may be saved before it is too late.

Expounding on Colossians 1:12-19, this episode urges believers to give thanks to the Father for: qualifying us (by grace, not works) for our heavenly inheritance, delivering us from Satan's power of darkness, and permanently translating us into the kingdom of His beloved Son through redemption and full forgiveness of sins by Christ's blood. It then highlights Christ's supreme preeminence as the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the Head of the Church, with all fullness of the Godhead dwelling in Him. Ultimately, this divine Savior reconciles all things to God through the cross, making Him worthy of first place in our lives, as He offers eternal salvation to anyone who trusts in Him.

This is a question that many of us believers ponder, and think about more and more as we grow older. The Bible does not go into great detail, but it does give us some peeks into heaven, as in Revelation, chapter 4. In this episode, we learn that there are actually two eternal destinations for believers: the new Jerusalem, which will eventually come down from heaven to the earth for believing Israel, and the third heaven above, our future home forever as members of the Church, the Body of Christ.
