Transformed By Grace Series: Multiplication? No Problem

Transformed By Grace is a daily television program produced by the Berean Bible Society. Pastor Kevin Sadler presents the transforming power of God’s grace on many different outlets.

Part: 1
This teaching on the feeding of the 5,000—the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels—recounts how Jesus was followed by a massive crowd of about 20,000 (5,000 men plus women and children), that was drawn by His healings. Moved with compassion, He taught them about the kingdom of God, healed their sick, and then multiplied five barley loaves and two small fish that fully satisfied all, while also providing significant leftovers. This miracle proved Jesus as Israel’s Messiah and King, illustrates future kingdom provision, and teaches the Body of Christ today about God’s abundant grace, and trusting Him in seemingly impossible situations.
Part: 2
Mere months prior, the disciples had already seen Christ feed an even greater crowd, but they still doubted Him when this second case of “food insecurity” arose. We can’t be too hard on them, however, because we do the same thing. We forget what the Lord has done for us in the past, and we doubt, when difficult circumstances come into our lives. This lesson on Jesus' feeding of 4,000 men (15,000 with women and children) from Matthew 15 revisits how Jesus multiplied seven loaves and a few small fish—fully satisfying everyone and even providing leftovers—underscoring the ongoing call to trust Christ's limitless power and compassion to meet our physical and spiritual needs.
