Transformed By Grace Series: Bible Times

Transformed By Grace is a daily television program produced by the Berean Bible Society. Pastor Kevin Sadler presents the transforming power of God’s grace on many different outlets.

Part: 1
This episode illustrates how “rightly dividing” Scripture reveals God’s distinct dealings with mankind across three time periods: “time past,” when God worked through prophecy with Israel, offering her an earthly kingdom that was postponed because of national unbelief; “time present,” the current unrevealed “mystery” dispensation of grace in which God has turned to the nations and formed the Church, the Body of Christ, through the Apostle Paul; and “time future,” when the kingdom program resumes for Israel after the Rapture, during the Tribulation and millennial reign. This dispensational framework prevents mixing the future earthly kingdom age with today’s heavenly grace program and provides the proper lens for understanding God’s Word.
Part: 2
This episode chronicles that in “time past,” both Gentiles and Jews reaped the tragic consequences of their unbelief and actions. The Gentiles refused to glorify or thank God, descended into idolatry and immorality, and were judicially “given up” by Him to uncleanness, vile affections, and a reprobate mind. God then formed the nation of Israel through Abraham with covenants of promise, circumcision, the law, and the Davidic throne, intending her to be a light and blessing to the Gentiles. Christ came to confirm those promises and prepare Israel for her prophesied earthly kingdom, but the nation rejected and crucified her Messiah and persisted in unbelief—prompting God to temporarily set His favored people aside and usher in the current dispensation of grace.
Part: 3
In “time present,” the current dispensation of the grace of God, God has turned to the nations after Israel’s fall with a program of unmerited favor never revealed in prophecy: Gentiles who were once “far off” are now brought near by the blood of Christ, baptized by the Spirit into the one Body of Christ, and given heavenly citizenship, the Holy Spirit of promise, and direct access to the Father. In this episode, we are reminded that salvation is a free gift by grace through faith alone, with the Apostle Paul as the pattern and example of God’s exceedingly abundant grace to the chief of sinners. This age of grace, which began with Paul’s salvation, will close when Christ raptures the Church to heaven before the Tribulation, delivering us from “the wrath to come.”
Part: 4
As we learn in this episode, after the pre-tribulational Rapture of the Church, in “time future,” God resumes His prophetic program with Israel—which includes the seven-year Tribulation—beginning with the Antichrist’s covenant of peace and the seven seals, followed by seven trumpets and seven bowls of even greater wrath, with the midpoint being marked by several significant events. It all escalates to Christ’s Second Coming, followed by more prophetic fulfillment and the establishment of the 1000-year earthly millennial kingdom, where Christ reigns in peace and righteousness. The Millennium’s end leads to the Great White Throne Judgment of unbelievers, the fiery renovation of the heavens and earth, and the eternal state with the New Jerusalem descending from heaven, with Israel ruling on the new earth, while the Body of Christ reigns in the heavenlies forever.
