The Apostle Paul accomplished far more through teamwork with co-workers in the Body of Christ than he could have alone. In this episode, we examine one of Paul’s earliest and most prominent companions in ministry—Barnabas. Surnamed “son of consolation” by the apostles for his generous spirit of encouragement, Barnabas joined Paul on his first apostolic journey to preach grace to both Jews and Gentiles. Though Barnabas later faltered in hypocrisy with Peter and clashed with Paul over taking John Mark on a second journey (leading to their separation), Scripture highlights him as “a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith,” whose ministry added many to the Lord.
