The Bible presents the Holy Spirit as fully God—eternal, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient—sharing the divine attributes and works of the Godhead, as seen in His role in Creation and the virgin birth. We learn in this lesson that the Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity, co-equal with the Father and Son, worthy of worship, and personally indwelling believers. As a true Person with intellect, emotions, and will, the Holy Spirit speaks, loves, grieves, intercedes, leads, teaches, and commands—making our relationship with Him deeply personal, and not one that treats Him as an impersonal force or influence.
