In this study, the Apostle Paul teaches that praying under grace means praying for a maturing faith, an increasing love, and a purifying hope. Paul prayed night and day for the Thessalonians, asking God to perfect what was lacking in their faith by giving them more truth from the Word. As believers grow in their knowledge of Christ, their faith strengthens and naturally overflows into abounding love for both the Church and the lost. All of this leads toward a holy, set apart life motivated by the hope of Christ’s coming, which should inspire believers to live in a way that honors Him every day.
