This first of a two-part survey encourages believers to read God’s Word from the beginning, like a book that never runs out of riches, as the Holy Spirit continually reveals more. Here, we are presented with a high-level overview from Creation through the Fall, the Flood, the calling of Abraham, the giving of the Law at Sinai, wilderness wandering due to unbelief, and the conquest of Canaan under Joshua. The study also stresses obedience to God, trust in His Word, and the importance of rightly dividing Scripture for understanding God’s plans for Israel and the Church, the Body of Christ.
