Christ’s resurrection gives us that quiet acceptance and assurance of a future and hope beyond the grave. This lesson walks through 1 Corinthians 15:5-10, listing the eyewitness appearances of the resurrected Lord—to Peter, the twelve, more than 500 brethren at once, James (Jesus’ unbelieving half-brother), and finally the Apostle Paul, the former violent persecutor of the Jewish church who was radically converted on the Damascus road and eventually penned 13 epistles in our Bible, while also planting churches worldwide. By all these accounts, we see the impact the resurrection had in changing and transforming people’s lives back then and how it continues to affect hearts today.
