This study shows how Joseph—sold as a slave to Potiphar, captain of Pharaoh’s guard—prospers and rises to oversee Potiphar’s entire household. When Potiphar’s wife repeatedly tempts him to commit adultery, Joseph refuses and flees, but is falsely accused of assault and imprisoned. Even in prison, though, the Lord remains with Joseph, granting him mercy and favor with the keeper, who places him in charge of all the prisoners—illustrating that God never abandons His people, and Joseph’s integrity as a powerful picture of resisting temptation while trusting God’s sovereign presence through every trial.
