Knowing of God’s presence in our lives and wherever we go, we can live fearlessly for Christ. In this teaching on 2 Timothy 1:7, the Apostle Paul reminds Timothy that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The lesson goes on to illustrate how every believer is a vital “key,” whose spiritual gift must be actively used in the Body of Christ. God has already given us the Holy Spirit’s power to serve boldly, His love that casts out fear, and a disciplined, self-controlled mind—equipping us to stand unashamedly for the gospel of grace.
