After secretly surveying the ruined walls by night, Nehemiah rallied the Jews, and they strengthened their hands for the work. Though mocked by outsiders, Nehemiah stood firm, declaring that God would prosper His servants, while Israel’s enemies had no claim in Jerusalem.
