In this lesson, we explore Jerusalem’s archaeological sites that confirm the Bible’s historical accuracy. Key discoveries include the Garden of Gethsemane, first-century rolling-stone tombs like Joseph of Arimathea’s new tomb, the ornate Caiaphas ossuary, the Pool of Bethesda with its five porches, the Pool of Siloam, King Hezekiah’s 1,750-foot water tunnel and personal clay seal, and the Temple Mount’s southern steps and Huldah Gate (site of the Beautiful Gate where Peter healed the lame man). These ruins and artifacts—many still visible today—match the Bible’s descriptions of places, people, and events exactly, proving God has preserved His Word through history and that we can fully trust the Bible as His reliable, unchanging truth.
